Falak-ol-Aflak Castle

Falak-ol-Aflak (in pure Persian: Dezh-e Sepehr-e Sepehran) or Dezh-e Shapourkhast is a historical castle located in the center of Khorramabad, Lorestan province. Falak-ol-Aflak is also known as Twelve-Towered Castle. This structure is situated atop a hill overlooking the city of Khorramabad and near the river, in the city center, and is the most prominent historical and tourist attraction in this city. The construction of this castle dates back to the Sasanian period. This building was registered on October 2, 1969, with the registration number 883 in the National Heritage List of Iran.
