Fariborz Fathi-Chegini is a PhD student in Public Administration, specializing in Human Resource Management at Lorestan University.

He was born in the 1990s and was recognized and honored in 2021 among the top researchers at Lorestan University in the postgraduate students section.

Applied research projects should be expanded

In an interview with the reporter of the Public Relations Department of Lorestan University, Fariborz Fathi-Chegini said: "The implementation of applied and problem-oriented research projects and the preparation of up-to-date articles, with the cooperation of university professors, led to my selection as one of the top researchers of Lorestan University in 2021."

Fathi-Chegini explained: "I believe that an article or research project should be of an applied nature and be able to, in addition to identifying issues and problems, also provide proposed solutions to address the problem."

He added: "In my opinion, the professor and the student should always monitor the current problems of society and provide scientific and practical solutions to reduce the problems."

The top student researcher at Lorestan University, regarding the characteristics of his projects and articles, stated: "We implemented applied research projects based on the needs assessment of government organizations and knowledge-based companies."

Fariborz Fathi-Chegini stated: "For example, we examined this problem in the form of a research project, what is the cause of low productivity in a certain organization or company, and then, we provided scientific and practical solutions to the managers of the organization and company to solve the problem."

Fathi-Chegini said: "Another of the measures we implemented is comparative studies and research; this means that we study similar problems in other countries so that we can have a comparative and comprehensive view in the projects."

He stated: "The projects and articles have not only been at the provincial level; rather, we have implemented them beyond the province and at the national level."

The top student researcher at Lorestan University continued: "It is not enough to only identify problems, but solutions to solve the problems should also be presented in articles and research projects."

Fathi-Chegini explained: "The university institution should not be indifferent to the issues and problems of society, but rather the relationship between the university and different parts of society should be expanded."

He said: "Our expectation is that students and professors who conduct research in applied and problem-oriented fields will be supported and appreciated more than ever."

The top student researcher at Lorestan University added: "Also, the relations and cooperation between Lorestan University and other organizations, departments, and companies should be expanded."

Fathi-Chegini stated: "Considering the slogan of the year, it is necessary to strengthen the knowledge-based activities of the university, the output of which should be job creation and entrepreneurship."
