Condolence Message from the President of Lorestan University on the Demise of Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani

"When a scholar dies, a gap is created in Islam that nothing can fill."

The news of the demise of the great scholar and mystic, His Eminence Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani, caused great sorrow and grief. His effective role in explaining and propagating the pure Islam of Muhammad (PBUH) and his tireless efforts in the path of human perfection and the promotion of divine attributes in society are undeniable.

The responsibilities of this religious scholar throughout his fruitful life included: membership in the Revolutionary Council, command of the Central Revolutionary Committees, jurists of the Guardian Council, Ministry of Interior, Prime Minister, representation of Imam Khomeini in various matters and the Council for Revising the Constitution, guardianship of the Marvi Seminary of Tehran and also the Combatant Clergy Association, presidency of the Assembly of Experts, teaching in the country's scientific centers, including Imam Sadiq University (AS), and educating and training faithful and committed forces for the intellectual front of the Islamic Revolution and leading the political currents of Imam Khomeini and the leadership.

Therefore, we offer our condolences on the passing of this religious scholar to the holy presence of His Eminence the Imam of the Age (may God hasten his reappearance), the Supreme Leader, the Grand Ayatollahs, the seminaries, and all university members, especially the university community of Lorestan University, and we ask Almighty God for the elevation of his ranks.
