Article Title:
Sulfonated Porous Organic Polymers: Strategic Design, Synthesis, and Applications in Catalysis, Adsorption, and Energy-Related Processes
This article introduces a new generation of advanced polymers that, by combining high structural stability and acidity, exhibit a dual function as chemical catalysts and effective adsorbents. These materials, with their remarkable capabilities in environmental remediation (including the removal of heavy metals, antibiotics, and dyes from water) and application in the development of new generation membranes for fuel cells and energy storage (as a replacement for fluorine membranes), have opened up new horizons.
The present article outlines a perspective on the application of these materials in solving critical challenges in the fields of catalysis, energy, and the environment, and introduces them as an effective step towards achieving clean technologies and a green future.
This valuable scientific achievement was accomplished by Dr. Saba Daliran (Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry, Lorestan University) and Dr. Alireza Oveisi (Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry), in collaboration with researchers from universities in Spain, Turkey, and India.
This international collaboration is an impactful step towards scientific diplomacy and the effort to strengthen the scientific authority of Lorestan University.
