According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, the text of the statement of the Basij Organization of Professors of Lorestan Province is as follows:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The Messenger of Goodness, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):
"I have been sent as a teacher."
The twelfth of Ordibehesht (May 1st) each year commemorates the day that was named Teacher's Day on the occasion of the martyrdom of Martyr Motahari; a day that commemorates the necessity of honoring those who, in the guise of teaching and learning, feel the responsibility of fulfilling the role of the prophets in the arena of learning and teaching on their shoulders and in their souls and spirits.
The teacher is also a prophet. He is a messenger who has been sent to shine the light of knowledge and wisdom on the dark house of the minds of his students and to bring enlightenment to them through this path.
The teacher is also engaged in expressing and performing the mission in a prophetic manner.
Like the prophets, despite the existing difficulties on the path of fulfilling his mission, he tirelessly travels this luminous path.
The teacher, like the divine prophets, bestows invaluable knowledge even on the ungrateful.
He also caresses the disrespectful. The teacher is like a kind tree that provides shade even to the ungrateful woodcutter.
Sacrifice envies all this selflessness of the teacher.
The Basij Organization of Professors of Lorestan Province, while commemorating this auspicious day and congratulating all the dear ones who sincerely devote their existence to acting in this sacred arena, implores everyone not to spare any effort in honoring the position of the teacher.
