Lorestan University Supports Reconstruction of War-Damaged Industries

The specialized session "Examining the Participation of Universities and Research Institutes in the Reconstruction of Industries Damaged by the Ramadan War" was held with the presence of research deputies and industry relations managers of universities and research institutes, representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade (MIMT), the General Directorate of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare, and officials of the Basij of Factories of the country from 15 provinces online and simultaneously at Lorestan University and with the presence of provincial representatives of the mentioned group in the meeting hall of the President's Office of Lorestan University.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, in this meeting, which was held on Monday morning, May 18th, the following effective cooperation model between the university and industry for the reconstruction of damaged industrial units was discussed:
_ Technical and expert assessment of damages.
_ Designing and optimizing the reconstruction process.
_ Technology development and innovation.
_ Specialized and managerial consulting.
_ Training and empowerment of human resources.
_ Applied research and policy-making.
_ Cooperation in providing technical and laboratory infrastructure.
_ Development of the university, industry, and government cooperation network.
In the continuation of this meeting, the proposed actions of universities and research institutes to play an effective role in the reconstruction process were explained, including the following:
_ Identifying expert professors and establishing appropriate networks for purposeful and continuous interaction.
_ Forming specialized committees with a problem-oriented approach.
_ Identifying and introducing laboratory facilities related to each of the specialized fields.
_ Identifying and introducing existing infrastructure for semi-industrial production (within the university and collaborating industries).
_ Creating appropriate mechanisms for the participation of faculty members, students, and staff in related issues.
_ Preparing and presenting periodic and regular reports to the secretariat of the country's macro-problem solving management (Mohkam).
_ Developing an executive program appropriate to the subject of the projects and related issues.
_ Pathology in specialized fields related to damaged industries.
_ Providing ideas and operational solutions in short, medium, and long-term periods.
_ Defining and implementing joint research and technology projects with stakeholders in the reconstruction field.
The attendees of this meeting emphasized the necessity of further synergy between executive bodies, universities, and research institutes to reduce the reconstruction time and improve its quality.
It was decided that with the follow-up of the Research Deputy of Lorestan University and the Mohkam secretariat, practical steps would be taken to utilize scientific and technological capacities in the reconstruction of the province's industries.
