The election for the seventh term of the Lorestan University's Board of Trustees was held with the participation of 75% of eligible voters.
According to the Public Relations Department of Lorestan University, this election was held on Monday, May 18, 2026, to elect 13 members of the Lorestan University's Board of Trustees.
Dr. Mehrdad Dadestani, President of Lorestan University, visited various polling stations for the Board of Trustees election.
Dr. Kianoush Barani-Beiranvand, Vice President for Education and Graduate Studies of Lorestan University, in an interview with our reporter, explained a detailed report of the event:
"In accordance with the resolution of the University Council, and based on Article 5, Note 4 of the 'Instruction on the Formation of the Institute's Board of Trustees and Their Duties and Powers', considering that the number of faculty members at Lorestan University is 434, the number of members of the University's Board of Trustees was determined to be 13."
Accordingly, the quota for each faculty was specified as follows:
_ Faculty of Engineering: 2 members.
_ Faculty of Management and Economics: 1 member.
_ Faculty of Basic Sciences: 2 members.
_ Faculty of Chemistry: 1 member.
_ Faculty of Veterinary Medicine: 1 member.
_ Faculty of Literature and Languages: 1 member.
_ Faculty of Humanities: 2 members.
_ Faculty of Agriculture: 2 members.
_ Faculty of Natural Resources: 1 member.
In total, 28 faculty members of the university were candidates for membership in the seventh term of the Board of Trustees.
Based on the results of all faculties, the total number of eligible voters was 418, of which 315 participated in the election, and the overall participation rate was recorded at 75.4%."
