Lorestan University's Academic Promotion Board Approves Scientific Rank Advancement for Five Faculty Members / New Composition Begins Operations

The first meeting of the seventh term of the Lorestan University Promotion Committee was held with its new members, and following the review of academic files, the promotion of five faculty members of Lorestan University to higher academic ranks was approved.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Mehrdad Dadastani, President of Lorestan University, on Tuesday, June 22, 2026, in the meeting hall of the Presidency of Lorestan University.

_ Names of those promoted to the rank of Professor, in alphabetical order:

1_ Dr. Abdollah Ehteshamnia; Faculty member of the Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture; promoted to the academic rank of "Professor".

2_ Dr. Reza Sepehvand; Faculty member of the Physics Department; Faculty of Basic Sciences; promoted to the academic rank of "Professor".

3_ Dr. Amir Hooshang Nazarpoori; Faculty member of the Management Department; Faculty of Management; promoted to the academic rank of "Professor".

_ Names of those promoted to the rank of Associate Professor, in alphabetical order:

1_ Dr. Sajad Rahimi-Moghadam; Faculty member of the Plant Production and Genetics Engineering Department, Faculty of Agriculture; promoted to the academic rank of "Associate Professor".

2_ Dr. Hossein Sedighian; Faculty member of the History and Archaeology Department; Faculty of Literature and Humanities; promoted to the academic rank of "Associate Professor".

In this meeting, the heads and members of the specialized commissions of the Lorestan University Promotion Committee were elected.

Each faculty has one commission, consisting of a head and three real members. The research deputy of each faculty is considered the secretary of the respective commission.
