Luristan University Student Volleyball Teams Advance to National Olympiad

The volleyball teams of male and female students of Lorestan University, as the selected teams of the fifth region of the country's universities, have qualified for the National Olympiad of Iranian Students.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, in the final match of the fifth region's male student volleyball competition hosted by Lorestan University, the Lorestan University male student volleyball team, coached by Mohammad Hassanvand and managed by Mohammad Zafarnia, managed to defeat the Razi Kermanshah team and advance to the national stage (National Olympiad of Iranian Students).

In the female student section as well, the Lorestan University team, coached by Ms. Nadri and managed by Dr. Azar Teimouri-Toolabi, will participate in the National Olympiad by achieving regional success.

The selection competitions for the fifth region's team to participate in the National Student Olympiad were held on Tuesday, June 22, 1405, in the Imam Ali (AS) sports hall of the central campus of Lorestan University.

The seventeenth Cultural and Sports Olympiad of the country's students will be held in September 1405, with the male section hosted by Shahrood University of Technology and the female section hosted by Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.

This event will be held in three main axes, including team and social disciplines (including futsal, football, volleyball, basketball, and handball), record and combat disciplines (swimming, athletics, combat and Zourkhaneh disciplines), and individual and skill disciplines (chess, table tennis, badminton, clay tennis, and shooting).

Dr. Dehghan, the head of the Secretariat of Sports for the First Region of Universities, emphasizing the importance of student sports in the comprehensive development of the country, stated: "By forming specialized planning committees and with the cooperation of experienced professors, coaches, and university representatives, we will make every effort to ensure that this round of competitions is held with the highest quality and in a completely competitive and friendly atmosphere."
