Strengthening Joint Scientific and Technological Collaborations: A Crucial Necessity for Addressing Provincial Needs

On Wednesday, July 28, 2026, in a joint meeting between the new head of the Lorestan Science and Technology Park and the President of Lorestan University and the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology of the university, emphasis was placed on expanding bilateral cooperation with an approach to supporting applied, problem-oriented, and knowledge-based economy research.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this meeting was held at the President's Office of the university with the presence of Dr. Mohammad Reza Sepahvand, the new head of the Lorestan Science and Technology Park, Dr. Mehrdad Dastani, the President of Lorestan University, and Dr. Hossein Hatami, the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology of Lorestan University.
In this meeting, both parties considered the strengthening of joint scientific and technological cooperation as an important necessity for responding to the needs of the province and emphasized the development of continuous, sustainable, and effective communication between education, research, and the application sector.
Furthermore, in this meeting, the mutual capacities and capabilities of Lorestan University and the Provincial Science and Technology Park were explained for expanding bilateral interactions, and areas for further cooperation in the direction of developing impactful research and strengthening the province's technology and innovation ecosystem were examined.
