Meeting of the President of Lorestan University with the Austrian Ambassador at Lorestan University

 

The President of Lorestan University, in a meeting with the Austrian Ambassador, which was held in the office of Lorestan University, while welcoming Mr. Schtift and his economic advisor, said: We are interested in bilateral interactions in various fields with Austria.

According to the Public Relations and International Affairs of the University, Khosro Azizi, in a meeting with the Austrian Ambassador, which was held in the office of Lorestan University, while welcoming Friedrich Schtift and his accompanying delegation, said: It is the first time that an ambassador has visited Lorestan University, and we are happy for this reason.

He thanked the Khorramabad Chamber of Commerce, which mediated this meeting, and added: Lorestan University currently has 47 PhD programs and 70 Master's programs, and a total of more than 160 academic fields and 9,000 students are studying in these fields.

Dr. Azizi pointed to the areas of cooperation between Lorestan University and Austrian universities and stated: Study opportunities for professors and PhD students, and if possible, student exchange, are among the areas in which there is the capacity to form bilateral interactions.

Dr. Azizi said about research activities: We are also ready to have cooperation and bilateral interactions regarding research activities and the purchase of laboratory equipment.

The President of Lorestan University stated: Our university campus is currently managed on a self-governing basis, which, with the cooperation of the respected ambassador, we can introduce it as an international campus.

Dr. Azizi continued: In the field of student exchange, if the other party facilitates the admission of students, we can have a serious exchange of views regarding sending Lorestan students to continue their studies at the PhD level to Austria.

He also pointed to the holding of short-term training workshops at Lorestan University and added: We are very interested in using the knowledge and experiences of the professors of Austrian universities to hold these short-term training workshops.

He stated: In basic sciences, physics, biology, geology, and also agriculture, we have fields that can be used by the other party and be the basis for bilateral interactions and cooperation.

The President of Lorestan University, referring to the formation of the Council of Lorestanis residing abroad in the Lorestan Governorate, said: We hope that through the respected ambassador, we can also communicate with the Lorestanis residing in Austria and provide the conditions for their presence and activities in Lorestan.

 Dr. Azizi expressed hope: This meeting will be the beginning of holding future meetings and continuing bilateral interactions.

In addition, during this meeting, the Austrian Ambassador and his accompanying delegation visited the laboratories of Lorestan University.
