Designating December 18th, the anniversary of the martyrdom of the scholar and dedicated cleric, Martyr Mofatteh, as the Day of Unity between Seminary and University is one of the valuable legacies of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was a great man who, as a cleric, was able to effectively connect with the young generation and students of his time, to the extent that the Supreme Leader stated in this regard: «It is not coincidental that the day of unity between students and clerics, or the day of unity between seminary and university, has been designated as the day of his martyrdom; because, in all fairness, he was a connecting link». Now, both the seminary and the university, each in their own capacity, must pay attention to this unity, because if the seminary and the university, which are centers for educating the educated and learned generation of this land, fulfill their duties correctly, we will have a generation knowledgeable in various sciences and committed to and adhering to religious principles.
I, while honoring the memory of the esteemed martyr Dr. Mofatteh, congratulate all university members and the seminary community on the arrival of December 18th, the anniversary of the Unity between Seminary and University, and wish everyone success in achieving unity between the seminary and the university.
