Lorestan University, a Pioneer in Fulfilling Social Responsibility with 174 Practical Actions in 2025

The Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology at Lorestan University stated: "By implementing 174 operational and targeted actions in the area of social responsibility in the year 1404, this university has taken significant strides towards solving the province's issues and fulfilling a role beyond its educational and research duties."
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, Dr. Hossein Hatami explained in an interview with our correspondent: "These actions, compiled in a comprehensive table, demonstrate the university's serious commitment to engaging with society and responding to the real needs of the community and industry in Lorestan province."
Dr. Hatami emphasized that the university's mission is not limited to education and research, stating: "The university must be present within society and expand its sustainable relationship with various social sectors."
He added: "These 174 actions are a clear manifestation of social responsibility and strive to position the university as an institution that solves problems and drives development in the province."
The Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology at Lorestan University noted: "A significant portion of the actions, specifically 140 executive initiatives, are dedicated to community and industry engagement. These collaborations have been undertaken with the aim of operationalizing research and addressing the real needs of the province's society and industry."
He continued: "In addition to executive actions, Lorestan University has taken an important step towards producing applied knowledge based on societal needs by defining and implementing 34 intra-university research projects in the domain of social responsibilities."
Dr. Hatami stated: "Furthermore, in coordination with the Management and Planning Organization of Lorestan Province, all applied projects and proposals are sent to this organization on a quarterly basis. This allows for comparison with the work done by Lorestan University when the needs of the province's industries and organizations are presented, thereby avoiding duplication and redundant costs in applied research if the projects are similar."
