33,027 Applicants Compete in University Entrance Exams and Teacher Recruitment in Lorestan Province / 37% Growth Rate

The Vice-Chancellor for Education and Postgraduate Studies of Lorestan University and the Chief Representative of the Organization for Educational Testing of Iran in Lorestan Province stated: "The nationwide examinations (Konkur) and the admission of student-teachers to Farhangian Universities will be held on Thursday and Friday, August 19 and 20, 2026, in 415 cities and various districts across the country."
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, Dr. Kianoush Barani-Biravand explained: "These examinations, simultaneously with the rest of the country, will be held in Lorestan Province with the participation of 33,027 applicants, of whom 65 percent are female and 35 percent are male."
Dr. Barani-Biravand stated: "In Lorestan Province, the number of applicants for the combined nationwide examinations (Konkur) and student-teacher admission for the year 2026 shows a growth rate of 37 percent compared to July 2025 (34 percent participation from regular applicants and 66 percent from applicants for the Farhangian Universities student-teacher admission exam)."
He noted: "The highest number of applicants for the aforementioned combined examinations in Lorestan Province belongs to the Experimental Sciences group with 17,385 individuals, and the lowest belongs to the Arts group with 1,422 individuals."
The Vice-Chancellor for Education of Lorestan University clarified: "Necessary arrangements have been made for the examination centers at Lorestan University, as in previous years, and 7,892 applicants will compete in the university's examination centers."

_ Experimental Sciences Group: Thursday morning, August 19, 2026.
_ Arts and Foreign Languages Groups: Thursday afternoon, August 19, 2026.
_ Mathematics and Technical Sciences - Humanities Groups: Friday morning, August 20, 2026.
