Achieving Sports Distinction for Lorestan University by a Student of the Faculty of Engineering in the National Olympiad

Ilia Lak, a Bachelor's student of Mining Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of Lorestan University, succeeded in winning a bronze medal in the 63 kg weight category of Greco-Roman wrestling at the 17th National Cultural and Sports Olympiad for Male Students.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, these competitions were held from August 21st to September 1st, 2026, in 18 sports disciplines, hosted by Shahrood University of Technology.

Ilia Lak was among the successful students in these competitions, and with the coaching of Gholamreza Keshavarz, he was able to achieve a sporting honor for Lorestan University.
