Applied Research by a Faculty Member of Lorestan University for the Service of the Country's Agriculture

The report presentation session on the Community and Industry Linkage Project by Dr. Samira Pakbaz, Assistant Professor in the Plant Protection Department at Lorestan University, was held in the conference hall of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, the final results of her research project titled "Evaluation of the Impact of Cold Plasma Gas on the Control of Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV) in Greenhouse Conditions" were presented.

This research project was carried out in collaboration with Roshd Pak Bakhtar Company.

The attendance of professors, researchers, and relevant experts, the evaluation of the project's achievements, discussion and exchange of views on the practical applications of the results, and emphasis on the effective role of university-industry-community linkage were among the most important parts of the session.

Dr. Pakbaz, while explaining the project implementation process and the challenges ahead, emphasized the capabilities of cold plasma technology in controlling the dangerous ToBRFV virus and reducing its associated losses in tomato crops.

It is worth noting that the Community and Industry Linkage Projects at Lorestan University are implemented with the aim of solving real-world problems in the production and service sectors and creating an effective bridge between academic environments and the daily needs of society and industry.
