Call for Papers: National Conference on the History of Iranian Local Press, from Inception to the Islamic Revolution

The National Archives and Library of the Islamic Republic of Iran, West Region Management, in collaboration with universities, research centers, and cultural institutions, will hold the National Conference on "The History of Local Press in Iran: From its Beginnings to the Victory of the Islamic Revolution" concurrently with the National Research Day, on December 15, 2026, in Hamedan.

This conference aims to identify, introduce, and preserve the valuable heritage of local press, examine the role of indigenous publications in the country's cultural, social, political, and economic transformations, and create a platform for the exchange of ideas among researchers, professors, students, and press professionals.

All researchers, faculty members, students, and interested individuals are invited to submit their academic papers on topics such as local press and culture, politics, society, economy, historiography, the Islamic Revolution, the Sacred Defense, tourism, new technologies, and legal studies of the press to the conference secretariat.

According to the conference call, the deadline for submitting abstracts is the end of August 2026, and the deadline for submitting full papers is October 11, 2026. The review results will be announced on October 21, 2026.
