Competition of 110 Teams from Across the Country / Lorestan University Became Runner-Up in Iran Programming Competitions

The Lornux student team from Lorestan University achieved the runner-up position in the 11th ICT Challenge competition, which was held with the participation of 250 individuals in 110 teams from across the country, hosted by Sharif University of Technology.

The 11th ICT-Challenge programming competition, aimed at identifying top talents, strengthening practical skills, and fostering connections between programmers and industry, was held on July 21st and 22nd, 2026.
This event was organized by the Sharif ICT Group and supervised by the Advanced Information and Communication Technology Research Institute of Sharif University of Technology, with the support of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, the Innovation and Prosperity Fund, and the Science and Technology Park of Sharif University of Technology.
A Competition to Solve Real-World Problems
In the ICT-Challenge programming competitions, participants face challenges designed based on the real needs of information technology companies.
The challenges for each round are developed by a specialized committee in collaboration with active companies in the field, to practically evaluate skills such as problem analysis, software design, solution development, creativity, time management, and teamwork.
It is noteworthy that last year (2025), the Lorestan University team also secured the third position in this competition.
