Honoring Lorestan University Faculty and Staff Veterans of the Sacred Defense

In commemoration of Sacred Defense Week, combatants and veterans of the Sacred Defense from Lorestan University were honored.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this ceremony, held on Sunday, September 20th, was attended by Brigadier General Mohammadi, a veteran of the Sacred Defense; Colonel Pasdar Sepahdar Nikroush, Director General of Preservation of Works and Promotion of Sacred Defense and Resistance Values of Lorestan Province; Dr. Ghasem Sahraei, Deputy for Cultural and Social Affairs of Lorestan University; and a group of university members. Organized by the Management of Shahid and Isargaran Affairs of Lorestan University in collaboration with the Organization of Basij of Professors of the Province and the Basij Professors' Association of Lorestan University, the epics of the resistance era were revisited.

In this ceremony, Brigadier General Muradali Mohammadi, a veteran and researcher of the Sacred Defense, emphasized the battle of truth against falsehood and the ultimate victory of the camp of truth, by providing a detailed account of the stages of the imposed war (Sacred Defense era).

Referring to Iran's recent resistances in various arenas, he stated that they are rooted in the same epic spirit of the Sacred Defense era, and considered the nation's presence in various spheres of safeguarding the Revolution as a clear manifestation of jihad in the path of God.

Emphasis on the Spiritual Dimensions of the Sacred Defense

Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Dr. Majid Moaidi, Head of the Offices of the Supreme Leader's Representative in the Universities of Lorestan Province, emphasizing the sanctity of this era, noted: "The Sacred Defense was not merely a defense of geographical borders, but a defense of servitude and religion."

Referring to the divine promise of victory for the mujahideen, he stressed the necessity of strengthening the culture of hope and faith in the ultimate victory of the camp of truth.

Subsequently, Dr. Mostafa Mohammadi-Zaroon, Director of Shahid and Isargaran Affairs of Lorestan University, recalling memories of this era, described the Sacred Defense as a period of peak unity, cohesion, and spirituality of the Iranian nation.

Furthermore, Dr. Gholamhossein Hosseini, Head of the Organization of Basij of Professors of the Province, emphasizing the role of "Velayat-madari" (adherence to leadership) as the primary factor of national unity, recalled that what is currently unfolding is a sacred defense in the path of preserving values.

Honoring Combatant Academics of the Sacred Defense Era

In the final part of this ceremony, after hearing the memories and perspectives of academics who participated in the battlefronts, combatants of the university who were present in the fronts of truth against falsehood during the Sacred Defense era were honored.

It is noteworthy that more than 50 members of the faculty and combatant staff of Lorestan University from the Sacred Defense era have been selected by the Management of Shahid and Isargaran Affairs of the University, and a symbolic number of them were honored at this ceremony.
