Lorestan University; Provincial Stage Competition Arena of the Student Scientific Olympiad

The provincial stage of the 31st National Scientific Olympiad for Students was held on Friday, July 23, 2026, in two morning and afternoon sessions, hosted by Lorestan University. This university hosted students from universities and higher education institutions of Lorestan province in this academic competition.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this event was held to foster healthy academic competition among students, provide opportunities for students interested in further scientific studies, and identify top scientific talents.
In this stage, 54 participants were present, of whom 31 were female students and 23 were male students.
The Scientific-Student Olympiad is held annually by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in 24 fields of study.
To ensure order and coordination in the decentralized Olympiad, public universities across the country are divided into 10 regions. Region 5 includes universities from the provinces of Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Lorestan, and Ilam.
The winners of the decentralized student Olympiad, along with the winners of the centralized student Olympiad who are selected through the Master's entrance exam of the same year, will compete against each other in the final stage of the National Scientific-Student Olympiad.
According to the timetable announced by the Student Olympiad Center, the final stage of this event will be held nationwide, and its results will be announced in September.
The first to third place winners of the national stage, based on their acquired scores, will be eligible to benefit from the facilities and support of the National Elites Foundation.
