Lorestan University Student Affairs Vice-Chancellor Emphasizes Three Features of the New Nutrition Plan: "Choice," "Competition," and "Transparency"

The Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs at Lorestan University stated in an orientation session for the new nutrition plan: "In the new plan, there is diversity in food choices for students and competition among food suppliers, which is aimed at student satisfaction."
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, in this session held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in the Presidential Office meeting hall, Dr. Mehdi Shahin explained: "In the new national student nutrition plan (universities affiliated with the Ministry of Science), there is financial transparency, including transparency in the amount of nutrition subsidy paid, and universal coverage of students in terms of using the nutrition subsidy is implemented."
Dr. Shahin clarified: "Another advantage of this plan is that due to the diversity of food choices, students can manage their nutrition costs themselves."
The Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs at Lorestan University stated: "Another feature of the new plan is that the amount of food waste and excess student food wastage is significantly reduced."
It is worth noting that in this orientation session, eligible and legally qualified food supplier candidates also presented their questions and perspectives on the plan.
Dr. Hossein Doosti, Head of the Presidential Office, Dr. Mohsen Abbasi, Deputy for Support, Eng. Yousef Abbasi, Head of Security, Dr. Nemat Shams, Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoudi, Director of Legal Affairs of the university, and some other officials were also present at the session, and various suggestions regarding the optimal implementation of the new student nutrition plan were discussed and exchanged.
