Lorestan University Visits the Family of the Esteemed National Martyr, "Mehdi Bazgir"

Martyr, Defender of the Homeland, the Everlasting "Mehdi Bazgir," attained the exalted rank of martyrdom in the recent Ramadan War in defense of Iran.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, a group of family members of this proud martyr were also subjected to a brutal and inhumane attack by the American-Zionist enemy in Shahid Rahimi village (Angaz village) of Khorramabad County and were martyred.

On the afternoon of Saturday, April 25, 2026, in line with honoring the esteemed families of the martyrs, and with the planning of the Department of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs of Lorestan University, a group of university members went to this village to meet with the family of Martyr Bazgir.

Meeting with the esteemed families of the martyrs and honoring them is among the emphasized guidelines of the Master of Martyrs of the Revolution, Imam Khamenei (May God be pleased with him), and is one of the prominent characteristics of the discourse of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

In this meeting, Dr. Mehrdad Dadestani, President of Lorestan University, and Hojjatoleslam Dr. Majid Moeidi, Head of the Offices of the Supreme Leader's Representative in the Universities of Lorestan Province, were present and spoke about the status of the martyrs.

After meeting with the esteemed family of the martyr, university members went to the village cemetery to pay their respects to the exalted status of the five esteemed martyrs of the Bazgir family, all of whom attained the exalted rank of martyrdom in the Ramadan War, by reciting the Fatiha, and to renew their covenant with the ideals of the martyrs.

The aforementioned meeting was held in cooperation with the Martyrs Foundation and Veterans Affairs.

The memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the homeland will always be eternal.
