Lorestan University's Promotion Committee Approves the Advancement of Two Faculty Members to Professor and One to Associate Professor

The Promotion Committee of Lorestan University approved the academic rank promotion of three faculty members of this university; Accordingly, two faculty members were promoted to the rank of Professor and one member to the rank of Associate Professor.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, the Promotion Committee meeting of this university was held on Wednesday, July 21, 2026, in the meeting hall of the University Presidency.

In this meeting, the academic files of the rank promotion applicants were carefully reviewed in the presence of the members of the Promotion Committee, and after discussion, exchange of views, and voting, the academic rank promotion of three faculty members of Lorestan University was approved.

Promotion of Two Faculty Members to the Rank of Professor

Based on the results of this meeting, the following faculty members were promoted to the academic rank of Professor (names are listed alphabetically):

_ Dr. Kianoush Barani-Beiranvand, faculty member of the Mining Engineering Department; Promotion to the academic rank of Professor.

_ Dr. Mohammad Reza Roohbakhsh, faculty member of the Persian Language and Literature Department; Promotion to the academic rank of Professor.

Promotion of One Faculty Member to the Rank of Associate Professor

Furthermore, in this meeting, the academic rank promotion of Dr. Kobra Khosravi, faculty member of the Arabic Language and Literature Department, to the rank of Associate Professor was approved.

The chairmanship of the Promotion Committee of Lorestan University is held by Dr. Mehrdad Dadastani.

Additionally, Dr. Maroouti and Dr. Abdi-Pourfard, as representatives of the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, were present at the Promotion Committee meeting of Lorestan University.
