Mapping the Landscape of Promotional Activities for the New Academic Year at the Lorestan University Preachers' Consultation Meeting

The Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative at Lorestan University, with the aim of outlining the vision for cultural and religious activities for the new academic year, convened a dialogue-based meeting for preachers and imams of congregational prayer who are members of the Lorestan University preaching network.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this meeting was held on Wednesday, September 16th, at the Office of the Supreme Leader's Representative at the university, chaired by Hojjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Dr. Majid Movaidi, the head of this office, with the presence of preachers and imams of congregational prayer from the university and its affiliated satellite centers.

In this meeting, preachers presented their perspectives and discussed the necessary strategies for enhancing cultural and religious preaching activities for the new academic year with the head of the office.

In his remarks, Dr. Majid Movaidi emphasized the necessity of transforming approaches to engaging with the young generation and students, and highlighted the following key areas for the new academic year:

1. Focus on the Jihad of Explanation and Persuasion:

He stressed the need to improve the methods of "Jihad of Explanation" based on the overarching goals of the educational system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding: "Religious propagation must move from merely conveying messages towards 'persuasion.' Furthermore, the explanation of the country's achievements and progress in the post-revolution era should be strengthened and enhanced with intelligent approaches."

2. Innovation in Preaching and Responding to the Doubts of the Young Generation and Students:

Dr. Movaidi, referring to the آسیب (harm) of "routine" in preaching activities, emphasized the necessity of paying attention to creativity and innovation in presenting content that aligns with the tastes of students.

He noted: "Preaching teachings should be formulated based on the real needs of the young generation and students, with an approach of responding to questions and doubts through interaction and dialogue."

3. Strengthening Face-to-Face Interactions with Students and the Culture of Dialogue:

Another emphasized point in this meeting was the necessity of increasing direct interactions and face-to-face dialogues between preachers and students, especially in dormitory settings.

4. National Unity and Cohesion; Vigilance Against Enemies' Conspiracies:

In conclusion, Dr. Movaidi emphasized the importance of preaching and promoting teachings based on national unity and cohesion, centered around defending Islamic Iran. He urged university preachers to play a role through more effective participation in enhancing the awareness of student environments, with an approach of prevention and preparedness to effectively counter potential enemy conspiracies.
