Presence of Lorestan Professors' Mobilization Caravan in the Great Farewell of the Martyred Leader / Performance of the Traditional "Gol Mali" Ceremony

The caravan of the Lorestan Province Basij Organization of University Professors, alongside the devoted people of this land, laden with sorrow and faces marked by the traditional "Gol Mali" ritual, set out for the capital. By participating in the Imam Khomeini (RA) Musalla, this caravan, while holding a mourning ceremony, depicted the deep bond between the university and the nation in the farewell ceremony for the pure body of Iran's martyred leader and his loyal companions.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, quoting the report of the Lorestan Basij Organization of University Professors, following the tragic martyrdom of the martyred leader of the nation and his esteemed companions, the caravan of Basij professors from universities and higher education centers of Lorestan Province departed for Tehran on Friday morning, July 3, 2026, to participate in the farewell and send-off ceremony for these honorable martyrs, and was accommodated at the accommodation site of the Basij Organization of the Oppressed.

On Friday afternoon, a magnificent mourning and lamentation ceremony was held at the accommodation site with the enthusiastic presence of professors and various segments of Basij members from Lorestan Province.

In this ceremony, eulogists of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) recited elegies in the Luri language and dialect in commemoration of the martyred Imam, which was met with enthusiastic reception and solidarity from the attendees.

Furthermore, on Saturday morning, July 4, 2026, in order to preserve the authentic mourning culture of the Luri people, professors and Basij members of Lorestan Province performed the traditional and sorrowful "Gol Mali" ritual, the most earthly and poignant traditional mourning ceremony of the Shi'a world, in grief over the great calamities, at the accommodation site.

After performing this traditional ritual, the members of the caravan, alongside the surging tide of the grateful Iranian nation, attended the send-off and farewell ceremony for the pure body of the martyred leader of the nation and his loyal family at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Musalla in Tehran, and renewed their allegiance to the ideals of Imam Khomeini (RA), the martyred leader, and the Supreme Leader.

The caravan of the Basij Organization of University Professors of Lorestan Province returned to Khorramabad on Saturday afternoon, July 4, after participating in this magnificent national ceremony and paying homage to the exalted status of the martyred leader.
