May 01, 2026

Dr. Mehrdad Dadsetani, President of Lorestan University, issued a message congratulating the faculty of Lorestan University on the occasion of Teacher's and Professor's Day (May 1st).

According to the Public Relations Department of Lorestan University, the text of Dr. Dadsetani's message is as follows:

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The twelfth of Ordibehesht, the anniversary of the martyrdom of the wise professor, Martyr Ayatollah Morteza Motahhari (RA), commemorates the position and importance of the high status of knowledge, faith, and social responsibility.

This day is an excuse to pay homage to the pioneers of awareness, teachers and distinguished professors who carry out the mission of teaching and training with love, commitment and expertise.

I sincerely congratulate and greet all the distinguished professors of Lorestan University on the occasion of this great day.

The esteemed professors of the country's higher education system, with their high determination and exemplary perseverance, have built the strong pillars of progress and the authority of Islamic Iran in the scientific, research and cultural arenas.

In the most sensitive conditions of the country, especially during the 12-day and Ramadan wars, teachers and professors never stopped performing their mission and always, in all circumstances, in the field of education and research of the country, with the same scientific motivation and vitality, have kept the flag of knowledge flying in the ancient and civilized land of Iran.

The valuable efforts of the esteemed colleagues of the faculty members in the continuation of education - especially in the field of virtual education in the country's war conditions - is a symbol of commitment and responsibility for the scientific construction of the country.

Undoubtedly, various and great national achievements in the scientific and technological fields are the result of thinking with a problem-solving approach and the sacrifice and selflessness of those working in the sacred trenches of teaching and training.

We commemorate the memory of the high-ranking martyrs of science and higher education in the country, especially the high-ranking martyrs of the scientific community in the 12-day and Ramadan wars; those who, in the path of defending Iran, tied "science" to the "field" so that the homeland would remain proud and powerful.

Their path is the guiding light of the path of growth and honor of the brave Iranian nation.

From the Almighty God, I ask for health, honor, success and continued brilliance in the field of science and ethics for all the esteemed professors of Lorestan University.

Mehrdad Dadsetani

President of Lorestan University
