Dr. Abed Golkarami, an assistant professor in the Department of Geography at Lorestan University, presented the achievements of his sabbatical leave in a virtual meeting, titled "Investigating the Geopolitical Roots of Territorial Imbalance in the Country's Spatial Governance."
This one-year program was implemented under the patronage of the Iranian-Islamic Progress Model Center.
Dr. Golkarami, referring to the role of geographical and historical factors and the distribution of power, analyzed spatial inequalities and centralization in Iran.
Dr. Golkarami's proposed solution is decentralization and strengthening the infrastructure of the country's border regions.
The meeting to present the sabbatical leave report was held within the framework of Lorestan University's Community and Industry Relations Management domain.
