Professor Seyyed Yaddollah Sotoudeh (born 1946 in Khorramabad) is a prominent and influential figure in the culture, publishing, and local historical research of Lorestan. His name is firmly linked with historical document research, the documentation of Lorestan's history, and the promotion of book and publishing culture in Lorestan.

Sotoudeh is a researcher who, relying on empirical knowledge, access to valuable historical documents, and years of diligent effort, has made a lasting contribution to illuminating the lesser-known aspects of Lorestan's history, particularly during the Qajar and early Pahlavi periods.

Sotoudeh is the heir to a precious treasure trove of documents, correspondence, letters, decrees, and historical records, which, through his effort and cultural generosity, have been made available to researchers and have become a credible source for local historical studies of Lorestan.

One of the most significant manifestations of his services is the establishment and management of Shapourkhast Publications in Khorramabad. Through Professor Sotoudeh's cultural, research-oriented, and supportive approach, this publishing house has provided dozens of Lorestani researchers and writers with the opportunity to benefit from it in understanding and studying the history and culture of Lorestan.

Facilitating the printing and publication of over 800 titles in the fields of history, culture, society, and literature of Lorestan, as well as collecting, re-examining, and publishing hundreds of firsthand historical documents, identifying local figures in visual documents and historical photographs, editing and publishing valuable works such as "Lorestan Rebellion," collaborating in the organization and documentation of the book "Tarikh-e Ghazanfari," and authoring and publishing "Mostofi Lorestan," are part of his enduring efforts.

The significance of Professor Sotoudeh's work extends beyond document collection; by reading, editing, annotating, explaining, and contextualizing these documents, he has transformed them from raw records into living, usable, and influential sources for historical research.
