The training course "Methods of Damage Assessment and Estimation of Environmental Costs of Development Projects" was held, taught by Dr. Ghabadi.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, an in-service training course titled "Introduction to Damage Assessment Methods and Environmental Cost Estimation for Development Projects" for the experts of the General Department of Environmental Protection of the province was held on Tuesday, June 1st, from 9 to 11 AM.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this course was taught by Dr. Morteza Gholami, a faculty member of the Environmental Engineering Department and the Director of the Environmental House of Lorestan University. It was held in person as a specialized training workshop with an operational approach in the meeting hall of the General Department of Environmental Protection of the province.

The participants in this course included heads of departments, experts from the natural environment sector, specialized experts from counties, unit commanders, and environmental enforcement officers.

In this workshop, Dr. Gholami explained the relationship between development and environmental damage, the necessity of economic valuation of damages, and the quantitative and monetary techniques for environmental impacts.

Furthermore, existing methods for estimating damages based on market, non-market, and ecological functions of the country's ecosystems were introduced.

This training course was held to empower experts in supporting sustainable land management.
