Jul 06, 2026

The study leave project of Dr. Kourosh Azizi, Assistant Professor in the Plant Protection Department of Lorestan University, on the topic "Investigation of Rice Field Nematodes in Flooded and Dry Cultivation Methods" was conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture with Green Kavoshan Zistkesht Company as the employer.

In this research, the effect of two different rice cultivation methods on the nematode population in the fields of Shushtar county was investigated. The results showed that there is a significant difference between flooded and dry cultivation methods in terms of nematode diversity and population density; such that some nematode groups were more abundant in dry cultivation and others in seedling cultivation.

The findings of this research can be effective in the optimal management of rice fields and the reduction of damage caused by harmful nematodes.

The presentation session for the aforementioned project was held with the presence of Dr. Jahanbakhshi, the representative of community and industry relations at the Faculty of Agriculture.
