Lorestan University's Gift of Commitment and Expertise to Dimeh Yaqub Village, Khuzestan / Potable Water Treatment Plant Launched

The drinking water treatment plant in the village of Dimeh Yaqub, one of the villages of Shadegan city in Khuzestan province, was launched by Dr. Seyyed Yaqub Karimi, a faculty member of the Water Sciences Group at the Faculty of Agriculture, Lorestan University.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, the report sent by the Research and Technology Vice-Chancellor of the university regarding this event is as follows:
"Given the mission of the faculty members of Lorestan University in connecting with the community and their social responsibility, in coordination with the IRGC of Lorestan province and the 57th Hazrat Abolfazl (AS) Brigade, and considering the active presence of the Lorestan IRGC in maintaining security and declaring readiness to confront the American-Zionist enemy in the cities and villages of Khuzestan province, a team of Basiji and committed professors from Lorestan University, led by Dr. Seyyed Yaqub Karimi, a faculty member of the Water Group at the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Mohammad Reza Raji, a faculty member of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Dr. Ahmad Haghi, a faculty member of the Psychology Group at the university, resolved the drinking water problem of the village of Dimeh Yaqub, one of the villages of Shadegan city in Khuzestan province, by launching an industrial water treatment plant with a capacity of 5000 liters of water.
With public contributions and the assistance of officials from Khuzestan and Lorestan provinces and the faculty members of Lorestan University, the funding for this water treatment plant was secured.
The inauguration of the water treatment plant was carried out by officials from Khuzestan and Lorestan, including the representative of the Supreme Leader and the Friday Prayer Imam of Khuzestan and Lorestan, the Friday Prayer Imam of Abadan, the commanders of the Lorestan IRGC, and the commander of the Karbala Headquarters on June 14th.
This social responsibility undertaken by the faculty members of Lorestan University demonstrates their dedication and public support."
The report from the Research and Technology Vice-Chancellor of Lorestan University states: "The reason for the specialized and industrial launch of this water treatment plant is the active and specialized presence of Dr. Yaqub Karimi, who conducted his postdoctoral research for the establishment of the water treatment plant. His project was selected as the top research project by the Ministry of Energy in Hamedan, where a pilot and laboratory-scale water treatment plant was launched in a village during his postdoctoral period. Furthermore, the IRGC of Khuzestan and Lorestan, with the support of officials, have expressed their commitment to developing this project for the establishment of water treatment plants in the villages of Khuzestan and Lorestan.
The Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology of Lorestan University (Dr. Hossein Hatami) was also present at the inauguration and launch of the aforementioned water treatment plant."
